Subject: [Harp-L] Trombone tone
Frank (and anyone else who might be interested)...
if you haven't already heard of tiny url - a harp-l'er was the one who
first provided the info. Just type in www dot tiny url dot com to your
browser...
paste your long url into the box there - click on 'make tiny' and out comes
a few digit long 'tiny url'. It's amazing - and great.
Usually I also give the long url in the body of the post (which wraps
around making it very difficult for people to link to) and then the tiny url
beneath -for comparison purposes and to show just how easy the new one is to
use.
It's a great site - free, of course. Wish I'd known about it long before,
wish more people knew about it now. :)
Elizabeth
PS: I'm personally reluctant to click on an url in a subject line..want to
know first what it's about before automatically pasting it...so you might
not get all the viewers you'd like that way. Try the tiny url, see what you
think.

Use the link in the subject line...For some reason when I put a link in
the body of an e-mail to harp-l it gets doubled by the time it reaches the
list and is then rendered unusable?
